Dual Audio Subtitles

Post by Warrof »

Hi.

I've got a Dual Audio video file (English and Japanese) that some with 3 options for subtitles:
Signs/Karaoke [eng] (ssa/ass) [default] <---this one only covers the various signs that show up and any songs that are played, but no dialogue
[eng] (ssa/ass) <---This one give subtitles for everything including dialogue
No Subtitles

I've gotten the jpn audio working right, but I can't figure out how to get the non-default/second option subtitles to work. Can anyone show me how to do this? Is it even possible?

I'm streaming from my tower pc to my PS3 via a wired connection. This is the first time I've run into this particular issue, though I've been using PS3 Media Server in the past. Since that one is unsupported now I figured I'd move to UMS.

Edit: Just for the record, I have figured out that the issue is because UMS loads the first 'subtitle' of the appropriate language. Using MKVToolNix I can move the order around... But I would prefer to not have to do that every time I load up a file like this.
