Subtitle help

Hi,
I am new on the forum, i read some articles but i still have issues with subtitle. I have the universal media server installed on my desktop pc, and use my smart tv to watch movies. But at the first installation, when i stream the movie from the pc to the TV i had subtitles working perfectly, even cyrilic. Now i can watch the moves only on mode "no encoding" but without subtitle. If i go to any other option, with subtitle i get error, the file cannot be played on my TV.
If i go with "no encodin" with subtitle, i get subtitle but the format is messed up.
I tried to change the configuration to find the first settings that worked, but no luck.
Any idea how to watch the movies with subtitle, using encoding or without it?
