UMS works great in my network at home, Thank you for that .

I have a request : Is it possible that HD Audio is available in a future release?

I thought for sure that UMS was able to pass the DTS and DTS-HD stream but ill double check...

DTS-HD is not possible. MEncoder has a decoder which supports DTS core only so also it is limited to 5.1.
I don't suppose there is any change from past (updated in FFMpeg etc...) in this direction.
But True-HD decoder is supported in MEncoder what I know from past (never tested FFMpeg in this manner) so also 7.1 tracks can be sent to renderer as a LPCM stream.

Should we check with FFmpeg/Mencoder to see if there are any updates to implement those features?

I've never encountered a type of DTS audio that wouldn't work, or maybe I just didn't notice. If there's a filename that has unsupported DTS audio I'll be happy to test it out.

Just about everything else with DTS-HD was closed due to lack of information... :/

Maybe I misinterpreted my post little bit.
DTS-HD is supported so audio will be played but in case of DTS-HD, only DTS core 5.1 will be decoded, so it is not possible to send DTS-HD untouched directly to renderer.
