not playing videos

Hi,
I installed UMS 2.6.4 and did not change any configuration settings so far.
I added a directory with some videos of every type (avi, mkv, iso, mp4).
I have the following devices that should connect to UMS:
- Samsung TV40C600
- egreat R200s
- XBOX 360
- VLC

The Samsung, egreat and XBOX dont find the UMS, only the Windows media server. In the logfile I can see that devices on my network are granted access.
Only VLC finds the UMS and I can browse the files. But I cant play them. There is no error message and nothing in the logfile. When I choose a file to play nothing happens at all.
Playing videos from the Windows media server works fine with all devices.

What do I have to change so that VLC plays the videos?
What do I have to change so that the Samsung TV and the egreat can use the UMS?

Thanks for any help.

BluValor, Thanks for posting your issue. Under the General Configuration Tab, Have you tried forcing the Network Interface, Force IP Address and Port. Make sure you uncheck the Advanced options if you don't see these options and restart. Make sure you save your settings.

Hi Optimus_prime,
thanks for the reply. I added the forced network settings.
In the advanced HTTP and system settings there is only checked
- HTTP Engine V2
- Enble external network.
I unchecked those and restarted the server, but still nothing with playing a video.
When I click on a video to play, VLC jumps to the next playable item and thats from Windows media server.
Furthermore I tried accessing the UMS with the windows media player. Its displayed as an other library. But there are no items at all in it.
So still no luck.

Sorry BluValor, If you have those settings then the Advanced options is unchecked. Keep HTTP Engine V2 and Enable External Checked and try setting the ip/network interface/port and see if that works. Sorry for any confusion
