Subtitles on Smart TV (FR)

I I just heard about this software and it seems very powerfull!
So I tried to stream a MKV file in english with .srt files with "*,*" in the subtitles priorites or "en,fr;eng,fre", nothing works. .srt and mkv have the same file name. But there's no subtitles on the TV, I can switch languages on MULTI mkv files but still no subs.
So first, have you any idea about my .srt stream problem, and is this possible to read embedded subtitles directly on the TV or we HAVE TO extract them before streaming it ?
