ok i changed the fetch agent line to Linux/4.9.212-1.16 and that seems to find the box.

that does work either. did you change the user agent search thing in this config file, because it looks like its still the old setting

yeah not a problem. it used to work or get detected for a while (well since my previous post issue got fixed), with the newer versions of ums and possibly fetch firmware it doesnt

for the past few releases my fetchtv box does not seem to get "found" in UMS and hence it doesn't detect its FetchTV profile.
How can this be fixed?

Im running version 11.1.1.1 (and I haven't tested older versions) however in the transcoding-subtitle settings each time I untick
"Automatically load *.srt..."
the option comes back on when UMS is restarted.
How do I fix this?

actually ive found that if i delete the web.conf from the program data\UMS folder the web content re-populates.

ok so i've installed version 10.16.0
removed the "web content" folder, which did not come back after restarting UMS, and also the fetch box can play the content.
I've attached a log file as requrested

This was on version 10.15.0 even after I did a fresh install.
I also noticed that it defaults to the general window "shares" for folders instead of the ones I picked during the "setup" process.
But yeah as mentioned even in 10.15.0 even when I remove the web content it keeps coming back after ...

ok here is something I discovered.

whenever I removed the "web content" and restarted UMS all the web content entries would come back.
So I had to delete the web.conf file the UMS program files folder and I also unticked "use info from our API".(not sure what the does)

and the fetch box can now ...
