I don't know, it seems to have the same cause, while UMS is scanning the folders it just hangs on one item, and while UMS hangs, if you connect to UMS from you device it shows empty folders, if you stop UMS from scanning and you connect everything is ok.

I came to this forum for exactly the same problem, scanning seems to hang during startup. at least the progress stays at the same 'scanning folder <blahblah>' or 'getting API info on <filename>', and if I try to cancel the scan it just sits there for ages on 'canceling scan...'. The same happens ...

How can i share my whole pc? It seems you have to choose a folder/drive?

Whenever I have a mkv file which contains internal subtitles (subrip) and select it to use those subtitles, then I always get a 'This content cannot be played' error.
playing the file without selecting any subtitles does play the file as it should.
If I extract the subtitles to a separate srt file ...

No matter what I set as margin (px) (default 20), the position op the subtitle (.srt) does not change. (streaming to PS3). I'm using UMS 6.5.0.

huh? you mean to say 10x worked with PS3 media server (which is just the old name/version of UMS)?
I never have gotten it to work on the PS3 past 2x (and I have a very fast computer), would be great if it would work with the faster speeds..

It seems all newer versions of universal media server (5 and up) have problems with audio sync, streaming to PS3, and it seems to happen most often with HDTV rips..
I've already mentioned it in the 6.2.1 announcement post, but now I've added a real debug log for another serie which I watched last ...

The newer version have serious audio sync problems transcoding to PS3..
I don't know why, but I even had to revert back to 4.4.0 (from 6.2.1 to 5.4.0 to 4.4.0) to get a few video's working correctly 6.2.1 and 5.4.0 both had the problem.
