Yes, it plays. The exception isn't immediate. I click to play. It starts to play. Then several seconds later the exception occurs but it keeps playing (for a few seconds at least, I didn't let it go too long. Should I listen longer to empty a buffer or somesuch?).
Concerning the "Unsupported data ...

UMS 7.4.0 thread exception
When playing a FLAC file via the UMS web interface I get a java exception. I was doing this because for some reason when I browse to this particular album folder using my PS3 to UMS, the PS3 shows an "Unsupported data" file between all the real files in the browse list. It only does that on this ...

Re: How do subtitles get put into the stream?
So a PS3 limitation. How incredibly sub-optimal. Oh well.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Turn off "replay" icon overlay
Or 'vi':
Doesn't matter. The only non-comment lines are the 10 files that have the replay overlay. Somehow the played history of my movies isn't in there. Must have been all the messing around I've been doing trying to clear this up.
Thanks, eh?

Re: Turn off "replay" icon overlay
It's hit and miss. Even with a forced refresh of FFox (CTL-F5) some icons have the overlay and others don't. But the ones that do have the overlay are the same via the UMS web interface and the PS3 . Is it worth a tracefile? What should I capture, just browsing into the tree via the web interface ...

Re: Turn off "replay" icon overlay
Crap. So I turned off "Monitor played status of files" for my Music directory share, but the replay overlay still shows up on the icons. I've stopped and started UMS and tried "Reset cache" but neither clears the overlays. How do I clear the overlays?

Re: Turn off "replay" icon overlay
Ok. I enabled trace and played all the files in that same directory. and now they all show the "replay" overlay. Guess I'll have to chalk this one up to PEBKAC.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Re: How do subtitles get put into the stream?
In the past (many UMS versions ago) the only way I could figure out to get subtitles to display on my PS3 from UMS was to name the subtitle file the same as the movie file, with an .srt extension. Then the subs showed up in the stream but I had no control over them using the standard triangle menu ...

K. I'll do that in a bit and post the debug info according to the guidelines to this thread.
