Autoupdate
Seems there is an issue with the autoupdate routine the attached file explains it best... I don't know how many windows it tried to spawn but I couldn't keep up before it crashed my system.

UMS still fails to self update on Windows 8 64 Bit.

How are you mapping the Seagate? Also are you trying to use UMS running as a service? As the service will run in the context of the computer not a user so it can't access drives mapped as a user. To get around this you can try changing the UMS Service to run in the context of a user with the Seagate ...

Same here running as Administrator has done it not for 2.6.1 - 2.6.3 just haven't had any free time to login and report it. Thought it was a fluke the first time but now that it has happened again I figured I best report it.

Auto updater failed on Windows 8 this is the second time this has occurred. It goes through downloading the file then fails to launch update saying you may have to download it manually...

That sounds about right. The problem is running as a service the program is running in the context of the computer not a user. Now you can change it so that the service is running in the context of a user but that starts up other issues. First issue is if that usersname and password are not the same ...

Ok ran some tests at home and found that most movies work just fine... But ones with H264 compression have issues as they show as 0 MB in size and don't play but they are good as I can play them on the PS3 from the same server.
