So I tried disabling "Use ASS/SSA subtitles styling" and it solved part of the problem : I don't have twice the subtitles anymore, but the text size changes every 500ms or so (once normal size then bigger, and normal again...).
I tried the snapshot, I didn't change anything either.
Here is the debug ...

Hi, sorry for the late answer, but I get an error 404 with you link. I'm going to try with UMS 6 beta.

If I choose FFMpeg, subtitles show up perfectly for a few minutes, then disappear, and reappear. So half of the text is not showing up.
If I choose MEncoder, they show up all the time, but twice (see attached image)

Re: Web interface suggestions
Yes I know that it's not safe but here is the thing : I use my ISP router as primary and it does not support VPN. I use my ddwrt router as AP (VPN option is disabled). I have no choice otherwise I don't have WiFi everywhere. So I have a VPN server on a Windows Server VM that works great and seems to ...

Web interface suggestions
Hi,
One of my favorite features in UMS is the web interface. So I forwarded the 9001 port so I can access it from the Internet... But it's now free to access.
- It would be nice if you could implement a password protection (a simple htaccess/htpasswd would do the trick).
- It doesn't seem to work ...

Well my sony bravia allows fast forward but it's very stressful for ums and the tv and sometimes fail (and takes ages if you want to skip 1hr) so entering time in UMS would be a nice touch
