Thanks for the reply. Too bad it's not good news... I was hoping it was as simple as modifying the video encoder setting.

I found this thread through google, I have the exact same problem with my Samsung TV UN50HU6830

Yesterday I played Better.Caul.Saul.s01e01 with an srt file in the same folder, it loads up nicely
Then I played Better.Caul.Saul.s01e02 in a different folder with a different srt file, it played nicely ...
