I kind of know the router can behave this way, but admittedly don't understand it.
My issue is that I replaced a wired PC with a wired Linux box and suddenly it all works the way it should.
From my perspective why does the Windows PC behave differently in this setup to a linux box plugged into ...

Re: Xbox 360 No Longer Connecting
I had similar issues myself when I finally made my Windows 8.1 PC wired instead of wireless. Everything is connected to a Netgear modem btw so it might rule out the crappy modem - although they could both have the same issues.

Re: Music playlist empty on Xbox 360
BUMP!
Did anyone ever find a solution to this problem - I am experiencing the same thing.
Am using 5.3.1 (linux). My video files play fine, but can't see any music files at all. No artists, no playlists, no songs.
Music files are stored on the same drive as the videos.

Re: Jumpy Plugin (27 August 2015)
I initially got the missing debug.log error as well - and I did a 'touch' one level down to create one.

XBOX360 external subtitles
Hi
Was trying to play an mp4 movie on the xbox360 via ums. It detected it had external subtitles but failed with some kind of 'can't play this format' error.
Removing the .srt file from the folder fixed the problem.
Just want to know if this is "normal" for ums or would this particular srt file ...
