Yeah I am having the same problem, when it detects the .mkv files (or very large .mp4 files, though it will actually play .mp4 files) mencoder starts heavy usage of my cpu and the buffer goes to about -549 billion. I assume something happens to make the buffer size overflow, but instead of resetting ...
