Could the problem be in the duration time
that also not report properly for any files

order i did it in
first play mkv file thru status didnt play
then mp4 file thru status didnt play
then mkv file thru the dlna player on the panasonic played
then mp4 file thru the dlna player on the panasonic played

I dump a file to my local hard drive.
I can read and play that file with UMS perfectly with my dlna server
now UMS has a status page (first thing that comes up when you load it) I can click my tv and load the file
the file will not play
I get the cannot read file error

Here something new
going thru the dlna server on my tv to the hard drive the file plays ok
but go thru the status setting pick your tv and then try to play the file the tv says cant read.

any file dump to network drive is fine
but going thru jumpy it need to be /mp4

If you want to fix something
on the panny AS650 change the mime in the render file
video/mpeg=video/mp4
i had to do it for
Supported = f:mpegps v:mpeg1|mpeg2 a:ac3|lpcm|mpa m:video/mp4
Supported = f:mpegts v:h264|mpeg1|mpeg2 a:aac|aac-he|ac3|eac3|mpa m:video/mp4
video/mpeg did work for most jumpy ...
