Can't see files on my TV's Media Player.

Post by jdperdomoq »

I'm using UMS with my Sony Bravia KDL-40W605B, and since I installed the new UMS 5.0.0, I can't see on my TV's Media Player the MKV files that have an SRT subtitle attached. I can see the folders, the MKVs that doesn't have subtitles, and everything else but the MKVs with subtitles. Help!!!

Files not available on Samsung UE48H6400 if srt is provided

Hi guys!

The problem I am experience is simple to explain.
If I share a folder and inside the folder I have both video and subtitle files (external srt with same name as video) the video is not available in my smart tv.
For example: girls.s03e04.720p.hdtv.x264.mkv + girls.s03e04.720p.hdtv.x264.srt

If I remove the srt file or change its name, the video file becomes available in the smart tv and I can watch it, but without the subtitles.

Do you have any idea why and how to solve it?

For the record, if I share an MKV with internal subtitles, I can watch it on the Smart TV with the subtitles available. Also, if I use an HDD with MKV + External srt, the video works with the subtitles.

Thank you for your time and help! :D
