Some new files not shown
Hi,
I've got a small issue with UMS (& it also happens with PS3MS too), where some files that I've recently added do not show up via DLNA. It's not the device that seems to be the issue because I've tried reboot/restarting the devices (PS3, iPad via Goodplayer app & 2xWDTV Live). It only appears to effect some files when they are added. A reboot does fix the issue, but I'm running this on a unraid 4.7 headless server, and it's a pain to reboot just to refresh the files on the server because it takes around 5-10mins to reboot fully.
I have tried developing scripts for shutdown and startup, but I haven't had success with anything that fully works yet. New to linux and not really sure what I'm doing etc.
Here's a link to the post I made about UMS, http://lime-technology.com/forum/index. ... ic=23033.0
I got it running fine side by side with PS3MS for testing.
I've tried running Scan Folders under http://ServerIP:5001/console/home but it doesn't seem to do anything, and used to crash PS3MS when I ran it.
Any help would be appriated, UMS is working perfectly with all my devices.

Are you using the media library cache? If so, try disabling it
Re: Some new files not shown
I don't think so. The default is false and I haven't specified anything on that line of the .conf file.SubJunk wrote:Are you using the media library cache? If so, try disabling it
Seems to be consistent with UMS and PMS as to what files aren't refreshed. I wish I could pin point the issue, but my gut feeling is it's the media server, not the receivers. I've rebooted and refreshed, removed servers and rejoined and still no success. A server reboot which reloads UMS/PMS and it's all updated!

I suspect this is a render thing. Are you using a PS3? If so I've seen it from time to time pick up "half" of the stuff I know it's there and then after "clicking" around a while it suddenly finds all the stuff. My BRAVIA (as well as XBMC) finds new stuff directly. Can you try running for example XBMC towards your server?

A PS3, 2x WDTV Live, 1x Mac running XMBC & an app called Goodplayer for iOS. What I'll do is wait for it to happen again, and then test across all devices to see if it effects all of them. I just haven't had time to test them all at the same time. Hopefully tomorrow I can.SharkHunter wrote:I suspect this is a render thing. Are you using a PS3?
