V 5.0.0 - Cleanup "Navigation/Share Settings" Page
V 5.0.0 - Cleanup "Navigation/Share Settings" Page
A few suggestions:
#3 & #4 are the most important to allow us to keep our brain in only one mode!
Also the other tabs/pages could use the same treatment.
- 1 - Add option to Show/Hide "Recently Played" folder (I only want to see my tree)
2 - group all the Show/Hide and Enable/Disable items together in their section
3 - Change the wording so all Show/Hide buttons are either ALL Show or ALL Hide - don't mix
4 - ditto for Enable/Disable

Re: V 5.0.0 - Cleanup "Navigation/Share Settings" Page
After walking the source tree and forums there I noticed a entry to cleanup the options making them consistent as to enable/disable, …
I'll defer to that post. I was a little late to the game.

Good suggestions
They are definitely on my to-do list

Re: V 5.0.0 - Cleanup "Navigation/Share Settings" Page
Thanx.
Also, while I was testing the valid Title characters on OSX, on the "Navigation/Sharing" page I found the layout/arrangement of the "Thumbnails" & "File Sorting" options not quite obvious. By trying each one I was finally able to see the relations and get closer to what I want.
As a side note: The pop-up help messages are a very good idea but incomplete.
The "Help" is a bit terse and also incomplete.
Is there any other documentation for the design, layout or operation of the GUI and/or system, or is it just another "self documenting code" project?
This is great for what it does but difficult to understand how it works and the interactions of the options/settings.
But it works!! thanx again.

Our help documentation isn't very good and it would be cool to fix it. That's another to-do
By the way there is a GitHub issue for 3/4 at https://github.com/UniversalMediaServer ... issues/456

+1 on this.michaelt wrote: 1 - Add option to Show/Hide "Recently Played" folder (I only want to see my tree)
Also, I'm not sure if it's technically possible, but when using the manual [MEncoder] in the #Transcode folder (the only way I've been able to get 720p MKVs to work), it uses [MEncoder] as the name of the file. Is there any way to have it default to the name of the folder (or the first let's say 16 characters?) and add the [MEncoder] at the end?
