5.1.2 start slower than 4.4.0
Hello,
Using UMS since some years and it run at windows start.
I updated UMS from v 4.4.0 to 5.1.2 and since, UMS is a lot slower to start, and have an impact on windows start : more slower too. There is about 2 minutes speed between the both versions. I am surprise. What are the options in UMS to modify to speedup the startup ?
In my usage, there is no difference, v 5.1.2 work fine, as 4.4.0

I am no expert, but without logs not sure anyone can really nail down any issue. Follow guidelines post.
Anyway-its probably the enable cache, but that should be about same as older revs at least for my experience. Unless you added a lot more movies, and music files, or more DLNA players. Anything change in your config or environ? I have >20K songs, and ~2TB of movies, so building the cache takes a while. Sometimes I disable the cache, its one of the first troubleshooting config changes I do.
Your call, but I never have UMS at startup, I make sure as few programs run at startup!....that's personal choice though I like a fast start
