Changing Default Encoder
By default, it seems my videos are encoded with MEncoder/AVISynth. Unforunately, my PS3 doesn't seem to like that very much. So, it forces me to go in to the Transcode folder each time I want to watch something. How can I tell UMS to always use just MEncoder (without AVISynth)? If possible, I'd like to just disable everything BUT MEncoder so that I don't even have the option to use them.
Re: Changing Default Encoder
You can change engine priority on the Transcoding Settings page on the left using the arrows.
Re: Changing Default Encoder
Thanks! I'd seen those arrows but never thought/cared what they did. Oddly enough, MEncoder has had priority (it's at the top of the list and bold) but still defaults to AviSynth/MEncoder when I try to play a video. Hopefully, this won't be an issue further as I just discovered the button to disable engines. Me thinks this should achieve my goal.
