[Solved] Sony Bravia KD-49X8505B not recognizing UMS

Post by warlockpt »

Hey there,

just bought the mentioned TV and I'm trying to use a media center to display some movies on it... I've come across UMS and it seams very nice, but I'm not being able to use it on my bravia, as the TV set doesn't 'see it'...
If I look at UMS console, the media renderer is detected... I can even mute/un-mute it by using the volume control button... however, if I go to my bravia TV, I'm not able to find UMS as a media server... I'm able to find Windows Media Center, but UMS is not shown anywhere...

I'm attaching the logs, as requested on the reporting guidelines.

Thanks for your help,

meh, forget about this thread...

Just solved the problem... for some reason, the bravia was seeing my cable tv box media server several times and was filling up the list of available media servers... when I set some of them to not being displayed, there was UMS on the list...

sorry for the newbie post :(

please help me fix this:
INFO 00:39:10.960 [New I/O worker #2] Media renderer was not recognized. Possible identifying HTTP headers: User-Agent: UPnP/1.0, X-AV-Physical-Unit-Info: pa="BRAVIA KD-49X8505B";, X-AV-Client-Info: av=5.0; cn="Sony Corporation"; mn="BRAVIA KD-49X8505B"; mv="1.7";

can someone make a new render file?

or is this normal?
