Issue with Xbox One detecting UMS after upgrading to Windows 10

Post by astromage »

Hi all,

Here's my issue;

- Everything was working great with Windows 7; The Xbox One could see both the 'X-PC' and the 'Universal Media Server' renderers

- Installed the free Windows 10 upgrade - UMS can detect the 'Xbox-SystemOS', but the Xbox only sees 'X-PC', not the 'Universal Media Server' renderer

- Updated to the latest versions of UMS and Java... No luck. Went through and tried multiple versions of UMS/Java... Still no joy.

I've checked the media sharing settings and everything seems to be in order:

- 'Network discovery' and 'File and printer sharing' are both selected as on

- The 'Choose media streaming options for computers and devices' section has all devices set as allowed, which includes 'Media programs on this PC and remote connections...', 'Xbox-SystemOS' and two versions of 'X-PC'(?)

Where am I going wrong guys?
