I think your best shot is to try some different configs (maybe even for other manufactueres aswell , Samsung / Android / Apple.. whatever)

So just to be clear.. you can browse, and see the files, you just cant play them?

Have you tried using the "No encoding" from #transcode# folder?

What about the items in the #-transcode-# folder, they dont work either?
As you probably know, UMS can either send the file as it is [No encoding] , or it can "Transcode it" , (converting it on the fly) to a format the TV can read.

I expected Device Spy to list more formats, on sonys product page site it reads

what does that mean now?
hmm its strange.. i went to folder there were 4 files

ok i pluged out tv again.. went to usb folder.. it worked fine.. then i went to UMS folder.. choose NO endoncing.. worked ok.. then i tried rest of them... ( just loading..) and now again usb dont work and no encoding..

so whats the problem? first works then dont

Not sure if it means anything , i recently discovered Device Spy myself, and i'm not 100% sure how reliable these info are.

For an example, the prodcut page mentions stuff like FLAC, and WEBM.. but none of that is mentioned in the info from Device Spy

But it also got:

http-get:*:audio/*:*

So that could be interpret at ANY video/sound file,
So i'm not sure how to read that.

No Encoding means your TV can read the file , just as is. Thats good news =)
