Re: PS4 no fast forward, no jump/seek :-(
Hi,
I could find out that the problem is not directly linked to UMS or the PS4, but with the exact file format.
I usually have the same issue of not being able to fast forward any MKV file, but a few days ago, I had one file that was working!
So I started to check the difference between the files, and the working file was recognized as a MKV file, but all the other not working files are being recognized as M2TS files.
No idea why this is happening, but that could be a reason of this issue...

Re: PS4 no fast forward, no jump/seek :-(
In the meantime there was an Update for the PS4. Then UMS was updated to 5.30. Since then, I cant play most MKV´s forwards and backwards.
Some work, that´s disgusting... :/(
.m2ts is a Containerformat, like .mp4, or .mkv
EDIT: Now it works again... Maybe Windows 10 is kick´n my ass... oO

Re: PS4 no fast forward, no jump/seek :-(
For me, it is still not working using the normal way.
But I have been doing some tests, and I have found a way to get it work!!
Make the Transcode Folder visible on your PS4, then choose the " Video File Engine " (or whatever you want to have it called) --> NO Transcode
For me, choosing this, any files is starting instantly, and the time of the video file appears again (which is make the possibility to fast forward or backward!!).
I will try to find out if there is a way to put on UMS the possibility to use the " No transcode " option as the first choice!
EDIT: Only bad point on this, is that the subtitles are not working (in case you need them)

I'm also on Win10. Just installed Serviio and it appears to show the same issues as UMS. Subtitle support is very flawed and no FF/RW.bbcreativo wrote:Windows 10:

Can you share your PS4 profile for Serviio?
