Problem: Universal Media Server 5.0.1 - 5.1.4 still cannot display non-latin character (Parsing characters)
But UMS 5.00(release Jan 2015) can work.
Problem:(can not browse folder name and file name on non-latin character, eg, Japanese , Chinese, (UTF8).., even change file name to latin character,it can not play.)
Anybody can fix it?

Hi popoguy, can you please try to copy the file "libmediainfo.dylib" from 5.0.0 onto the latest version? I think that might fix it

Thanks, I had tested but no help on 5.1.4,
However the problem is solved at 5.2.3 Java 6 version.
Now i just tested on UMS 5.3.1 (Java 8 version ), it also appear same problem on it, and i try to following your method to replace the file "ibmediainfo.dylib" and "fonts" folder but NO help.

Re: Problem: Universal Media Server 5.0.1 - 5.1.4 still cannot display non-latin character (Parsing characters)
I have a suspicion that the problem lies with the JVM. As far as I know, the Java 6 in OS X is supplied by Apple while Java 7/8 isn't. UMS has stopped Java 6 support since Java 6 is terribly limiting, but that also mean that you no longer use Apple's JVM.
If you test older versions in Java 6 vs Java 7/8 versions, you should get an idea if this is the problem.
