Spulen an einen TV möglich, am anderen nicht
Hallo,
ich bin neuer Nutzer des Universal Media Servers und auch bisher sehr zufrieden. Aber eine Frage habe ich noch. Im Reiter "Status" werden zwei unbekannte DLNA Clients, ein Medion-TV und ein "Vizo-Smart-TV" angezeigt. Ich selbst habe nur zwei TV. Namlich das medion-TV und das "Vizo-Smart-TV". Ein Samsung TV habe ich definitiv nicht, wird aber wohl zu identifizieren sein ...
Aber nun mein Frage. Das "Medion-Tv" zeigt beim Linksklick ein Dialogfeld mit sämtlichen "Einstellungen" das "Vizo-Smart-TV" nur ein Feld mit Name und IP. Auf dem "Medion-TV" kann ich beim Streamen den Film auch vor- und zurückspulen, beim "Vizo-Smart-TV" kann man nicht spulen. Da es sich beim "Vizo-Smart-TV" auch um ein Medion handelt wüsste ich gerne ob man die Einstellungen des "Medion-TV" auch für das "Vizo-Smart-TV" anpassen kann bzw. kopieren kann? Ich kann die Einstellungen des "Medion-TV" in einer Configurationsdatei speichern. Ich finde nur keine Möglichkeit solch eine Configurationsdatei dem "weiteren TV" zuzuweisen.
Geht das und wenn ja wie?

This forum is in English, I don't think there's too many German speakers here. When it comes to detecting renderers under DLNA, it's no "proper" way to do it so UMS uses renderer profiles to recognize renderers. Some times a false recognition is made. It is possible to disable certain renderer profiles in UMS configuration (select renderers) to avoid some device being falsely recognized as something else.
For each device there need to be a renderer profiles with the correct settings for that device. We do not have profiles for every device out there, only for devices that we have access to our selves or where some of our users have made a profile. If there is no suitable profile, a default profile (unknown renderer) is used, but only very basic things usually work with this profile.
When you click the renderer on the status tab and see the windows shown in your images, you get information about the renderer. What you see depends on what UMS knows. On the top you see the name of the renderer profile file (e.g. Vizio-SmartTV.conf). If you hover your mouse above the file name, you will see the path to the file as well. Profiles can be edited, copied etc. You can create a new profile by creating a new file. All the options is described in a file called DefaultRenderer.conf is the same folder as the other profile files. Not everything explained there is easy to understand without good knowledge of UMS, and generally only those things that doesn't work with the default value should be changed.
Not all renderers have the same capabilites. The reason you get much more informations about the Medion TV is that it has more DLNA capabilites. It supports something called "control point" where it can be remote controlled by another device on the network, and thus you get the controls for that. It also gives UMS much more information about it self, as you can see presented.
Files can either be streamed or transcoded. Streaming means that the file is sent as it is. Transcoding means that UMS converts the format of the file to anoter format which the renderer understands. Which formats and codecs are supported varies between renderers, and is one of the things defined in the renderer profile. If the format for a given file is supported by the renderer (according to the renderer profile in use), the file will be streamed. Streamed files can be fast forwarded and reversed and are generally completely controlled by the renderer. If the format is not supported, it will be transcoded. That makes fast forwarding/reverse much more complicated, and only a few renderers give UMS enough information to make it work in this scenario.
The reason you can fast forward one one and not the other therefore probably depends on either a wrong renderer profile for the TV, or that the TV can't read the format of the file.

Ok, I'm sorry but I won't attempt to write German. It's been some 25 years since I wrote something in German, and that would probably be more difficult to understand than my English
