Sony Bravia KDL-46Z5500 - Video aspect out of whack
Hi gents,
I tried this program as wmp would only play a portion of the files I wanted to watch. I found this program to be awesome in the fact it plays everything.. However I have noticed every file I watch through the above TV, the aspect ratio is out of whack - it appears to be stretched vertically.
I searched the forum and found the threads concerning a few others having similar problems with the Sony Bravia's and the aspect ratio and understand this might be a problem with the Sony Bravia tv's..
I don't suppose there have been any updates or work arounds for this issue to date or if there are settings to try? I pasted the custom mencoder settings into the mencoder options but it didn't make a difference.
The files I'musing are all 1080p and display fine on the pc.
Any ideas?

If they're straight up 1080p there should not be any problem.
Note: you will most likely have a "aspect/stretch"-button on your remote control. If that does not solve anything, I would then remove any custom mencoder/ffmpeg settings and put in the render config that is being used by the tv.

Code: Select all
KeepAspectRatio = true
