Versions 6.0.0-b2 and 5.5.0 released
Re: 6.0.0-b2 and 5.5.0 released
Hi!
I tried the 5.5.0 and the 6.0.0-b2 (with clean the .conf)
And I had some problem with my PS3. UMS doesn't recognize it anymore. It recognizes my box and my receiver.
I had to go back to 5.4.0 and it recognizes my ps3 again.

Create a thread under "General support" with debug information from 5.5.0 or 6.0.0, so we can see what happens.tipitch59 wrote:Hi!

Please post any issues in General Help and Support. Make sure to follow the Problem Reporting Guidelines so we have an idea of what is going wrong.robarts wrote:mp4 and mkv file with subtitle external not play on Philips 32pfl7606t/12

Same thing is happening for me, selecting "English, United States". Even if I select "English, United Kingdom" same problem, shows up every time at launch.Nadahar wrote:It's only supposed to show up until you select something. There's a problem with the 5.5.0 and 6.0.0-b2 release for OS X. Please downgrade to 5.4.0 until next release.endymion wrote:Same thing is happening for me, selecting "English, United States". The watched feature seems to work a lot better now, really liking that. But, with this latest couple of betas the PS3 is not always being detected by Universal Media Server when it is switched on. It was not an issue in previous versions, seems to be a bug in the new versions. It seems to happen about 50% of the time. I have also confirmed the same symptom on a similar setup in another house. On the system I reverted to an earlier version and the problem went away. Hopefully that gets resolved in the next build

It won't be resolved until we know what the problem is. If you're able to reproduce it, please create a thread in the support forum where you attach debug files as described in the support forum when it's not capable of detecting the PS3. I have a PS3 myself, but haven't seen the problem.

The issue was resolved in the final release of version 6 as I predicted. It seemed to just be an issue in the betas. Both setups in the two separate houses were updated to the production version of v6 and both had the issue they were seeing fade away into the abyss. Sorry Nadahar I can't give you any logs as the issue has gone with the final release. I guess I could roll back to the beta if it would help you, but it seems irrelevant now. Anyway, to the team, absolutely great work! You guys are so appreciated!!!!
