#TRANSCODE #folder to change for Samsung-SMT-G7400
I like to change the tet that is generate in the #TRANSCODE section.
Now you see a long text line with [MPLAYER] [AC3.....] etc... this can be shorter
There is some information about his in http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/vie ... =6&t=15440, but i can get it work in the Samsung box.
Are the command for each device the same or is this all specific ?

Unfortunately that code that PS3 Media Server uses caused bugs so we had to remove it. So there is no way to do it for now.

That's a pitty. I would make UMS much more conventient.
I'm using parallel Mediatomb and that works with ISO much easier.
Espacially with language and subs, but the best feature is that you don't have to select several files (titles) be fore you can play a movie. If you pick the right one....
I hope it will work some day

There is a way...fix the buggy code?SubJunk wrote:Unfortunately that code that PS3 Media Server uses caused bugs so we had to remove it. So there is no way to do it for now.

What I remember, problem was:
Hmm maybe not, that series of PMS commits messes up names in the transcode folder when "hide engine names" is checked. I will commit it if they fix it.
What does it mean "messes up names"? Names were total garbage, cut improperly or?

Re: #TRANSCODE #folder to change for Samsung-SMT-G7400
can you reduce the amount of clicks and subfolders.
now it is like this:
movie.iso
- title 1
- title 2
- #transcode#
------------- title 1
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------- title 2
------------- title 3
------------- title 4
------------- title 5
------------- title xx
- title 3
- title 4
- title xx
Since you don't know which title you need to select and the which Mencoder file, you need to click a lot of files.
now it is like this:
movie.iso
- title 1
- title 2
- #transcode#
------------- title 1
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------------- [Mencoder] audio ...
------------- title 2
------------- title 3
------------- title 4
------------- title 5
------------- title xx
- title 3
- title 4
- title xx
Since you don't know which title you need to select and the which Mencoder file, you need to click a lot of files.
Re: #TRANSCODE #folder to change for Samsung-SMT-G7400
You should use TITLE with longest time
If you don't see the length, add this line to your renderer.conf file:

If you don't see the length, add this line to your renderer.conf file:
Code: Select all
# Show the duration of a DVD Title in the overview
ShowDVDTitleDuration=true
