Transcode only audio
Hello,
I have a Panasonic CX-700 television which is capable of rendering H265 but not DTS-HD.MA.
I am playing back a sample MKV file with H265 and DTS-HD.MA audio. It works, but UMS transcodes BOTH video and audio in a MPEG-TS stream.
Clearly, this is a waste of CPU resources. I want it to transcode only the audio part.
In the configuration file, I have these lines (among others):
TranscodeVideo = MPEGTS-H264-AC3
MediaInfo = true
Supported = f:mkv v:h264|h265|mpeg1|mpeg2|mp4 a:aac|aac-he|ac3|eac3|dts|mp3|vorbis m:video/x-matroska
One more question: Does the custom configuration file override the base configuration file? For example, will my Panasonic-Viera-CX700.conf override Panasonic-Viera.conf ?
Thanks

Re: Transcode only audio
If they both use the the same UserAgentSearch then UMS might use the original, not the custom one you made. You should disable any renderer's you don't need to prevent that.
give that a shot and see whats up form there
