i tested to help you watching a movie the finest hours from the start to end about 1 hour and 57 minutes and didn't disconnect once is working fine for me.

here's my log to prove.

its working fine for me as you can see must be something over there maybe you should check whats wrong.
my ps4 is connected direct to the modem using lan cable my laptop is with Windows 10 64 bits, with java 8.91 also in 64 bits and on ps4 the media player is with update 2.00.

Thanks for posting that. I have updated java to the newest version. I had no disconnects since then. I will test some more.

Seems like that java update fixed the problem. Watched one movie today (120 mins) and it didnt disconnect once. Thanks for your help

i'm happy for you enjoy and have fun and remember always keep your java updated. it seems that ums is made to work with it correctily so i think you have to get corresponding java to your system 32 or 64 bits and most recent version that your operation system can support.

I'm using version 6.3.2, initially 'UMS' not recognized my Sony BDV-N990, and also not appeared UMS in my BDV-N990 sony, I found that I had set an IP for my BDV-N990, only worked when removed the fixed IP. letting DHCP handle it.
- I had the next rpoblema my MP4 videos folder, has more than 1,300 videos, however only appear on the BDV-N990, a total of 997 videos, sorted by alphabetical order and the other not appear, had to share the videos in two different folders.

Strangelly, im again experiencing disconnects while using PS4. I have no idea why its happening. Maybe mods can look into at. I have upload a log file. Thanks.

Hi last time i' ve checked the ps4 media player wasn't working with wave files, but since updated to 2.00 i haven't tried again to see if the behavior have changed maybe you should try and see what happens with one music. about the disconnection is still working fine for me there is a new version 8.92 for java on the oracle website on the se section its a patch for 8.91 its working fine with ps4. if even with new version is still having troubles maybe you should try to reinstall ums, java and the media player to make all return to default options.

Reinstalled PS4 media player and the UMS with the same results, disconnects every 5-10 minutes. After that I have reinstalled java and its working great again. No disconnects a last couple hours. Java version is 9.1 (before the reinstall it was also 9.1). Very happy that its working again. Seems like there was some java issue. i will keep monitoring it. Thanks for your advice.

Regarding wav, its not working. When i try to play wav file it just says that the file has been stopped. Thats all. Maybe PS4 is not recognizing this file format.
