ps3 and windows 10 connectivity failing

after installing ums on my windows 10 system

ps3 says no media servers found

and

ums says no rendered devices

tried switching both off and on again

still same

must be missing something fundamental sorry if not read the comprehensive help

solved connectivity by adding device to my computer and enabling ip address through mcafee - so now ps3 sees ums but refuses to work with mp4 files ?? whats the solution now anyone please?
