I spotted similar for looooong time. Didn't try it in in last weeks but when UMS/PMS is started and ended after a while, Javaw.exe will close very fast.
But when browsing and playing some files which makes any exception (using FF/RW it sometimes generates exceptions or rescaning cache generates sometimes errors for some files), then process javaw.exe is closing very slowly or sometimes process hanged or sometimes Java generated exception and generated 2GB debug file
So it seems without any exception UMS has no problem to close it but some "memory" exceptions (buffer, MEncoder exception etc.) blocks correct shutdown of UMS....

I'm not even starting any files, i'm simply starting up UMS and closing it after it has found renderers. I think i need to reinstall Windows, maybe have some spyware/virus going on..

Yeah considering that javaw.exe is connecting to casino.com it seems like it's infected with something

yeah it's true.. infact my javaw sends data to casino.com What free! antivirus programs do you guys use (realtime thingys)

I pay for Avira, there aren't any free programs that come close to the paid ones in terms of virus detection

Vipre is also excellent as well if you're willing to pay. If not just use MSE. Also, I'd recommend trying SAS and MAM as well. Using "deep scan" type options in Windows safe mode.

I'm using MSE yeah..
Damn Subjunk.. it turned out the casino.com was my own attempt to block the site via .hosts file ..
Anyways.. the problem still exists.. i'm doing a MSE full scan. I'll report how it turns out.

Yeah, if MSE isn't working I'd try SAS first, then MAM. All done in Windows safe mode (because this malware/virus you have could be autoloading itself at boot in normal mode). Speaking of that..I'd also check msconfig > startup tab (done by clicking the start button and typing msconfig in the run box and hitting enter) and see what's autoloading at boot.

Well if he ends up not being able to get rid of it with those anti-malware programs I'd say he'd probably be better off formatting again and starting from scratch. Next time just don't use IE and stick with a safer browser like FF or Chrome.
