[Fixed] UMS Won't Launch, No debug.log generated

It is just as the title says, I was running UMS 2.1 happily for a few weeks now. I haven't used it in the last week, I go to open it, and I see the twirling circle for a second and then nothing happens. Debug.log isn't generated.

The only thing I can think of that was different on my computer between last week and this week is Java updated.

I uninstalled UMS 2.1, Installed UMS 2.3, had it erase all setting to start fresh, and it does the same thing. When I launch it by the batch file in the directory, it DOES launch but then it never finds my PS3.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Win7 x64 Java 7 release 12. I had Java 7 Release 13 and system restored to the last date available when I knew UMS was working. No change after reinstall

SOLUTION:

Uninstall ANYTHING that says Java.

Restart.

Download the most recent 32-bit offline installer from the link below (YES, even if you run 64-bit windows):
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Run the Java installer you just downloaded.

Restart for good measure.

Try to open UMS again.

FIXED.

Yep, always uninstall Java and run something like JavaRa after to make sure u got rid of all the old files. Then reboot and install the new version.
