Re: Samsung UE40H6670 and UMS 9.3
As the whether there's a renderer configuration that fits your TV, I guess you just have to search this forum etc. Chances are that there isn't, as there as so many models out there. The reason that "Smart View" is "faster" is probably that it doesn't transcode. By configuring your renderer correctly, you can get UMS to do the same.
It's supposed to work when you browse from the renderer, using the ".conf button" in UMS is just a half-finished implementation that is very buggy, and isn't considered a "primary function". When you say "shuts down", you must specify what "shuts down" and how... debug files would probably be very helpful.
The "detected connection speed" is extremely low and in fact nothing would work if this were true. It's either a bug in UMS, or your network is very unstable. The fact that "Smart View" keeps disconnecting could also suggest that your network is unstable.

This doesn't make any sense to me. It doesn't matter which way the TV and the UMS computer is connected, as long as they are connected through a stable network with sufficient bandwidth. The network can be both wired (preferred) or WiFi, but to work properly with WiFi networks, you should ideally have 802.11ac network. 802.11n will work for some videos and not for others, depending on their bandwidth requirement. Is there a possibility to use the AVM FRITZ!Box 6490 cablerouter (both TV and PC are connected to it over it's 5GHZ WLAN)?
... because i get the feeling that the connection from PC (Realtek 8821AE) via UMS is etablished directly to the Samsung TV, I could be wrong though.
