[SOLVED] PS4 Subtitles are not transcoded and Audio track is not selectable

Post by paulie33 »

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with multiple movies where the subtitles are not transcoded on my PS4. have tried multiple subtitle files an no matter what settings i try to make they are displayed in the same manner, meaning missing characters and with a black background.
The second issue is that, for the movie which you will find in the attached logs only one Audio track is selectable. In VLC player i am able to switch between director's commentary track and the movies original audio.

Can someone point me in the right directions for this 2 things?

Thank you in advance,
Paul

don't forget that you can select the subtitle and audio track in the PS4 media player if the file is supported and streamed by pressing the options button. That is a better solution then having to transcode the file and burn them in.
