I had problems with mencoder but now it's solved; I did the update. You need to update mencoder.

Yes we need more details.
One thing holding us back from newer MEncoder versions is they dropped support for AAC transcoding, which would break important functionality for us. There may be another way to enable it but I need to know which problems you are meaning here, to see if it is worth migrating our AAC code to a newer MEncoder version
