Unable to load JRE
I have a philps TV (65OLED707). I believe that UMS should allow my mac mini m1 (Ventura) to play movies to the TV as a Media Server Software (as recommended by Philips)
I have downloaded and unzipped the latest version of UMS 13.1.0.
When opening up the app an error message says "Unable to load Java Runtime Envoronment"
Java is updated to (1.8.0.361)
I've uninstalled UMS and tried again.
Are there any suggestions to help here?
Thanks in advance

Re: Unable to load JRE
Java 1.8.0.361 is Java 8.
I think, UMS 13.1 requires Java 17.

Re: Unable to load JRE

I got the lastest mac version here: - Version 8 Update 361

Re: Unable to load JRE
For java version 17 for a Mac, I think you have to install the jdk version from the oracle website.

Re: Unable to load JRE
Ahh great thanks. Got it
Saldy, installing it didnt help with the installation of UMS. So I'm a bit stuck nevertheless.

Re: Unable to load JRE
UMS should install the right version of the JRE. It could be that an old version was already installed by another program on your system.
See if there is a way to uninstall any java on your computer then reinstall UMS
