Version 14.3 Producing Poor Picture Quality

I'm using UMS on Windows 10 to stream to my TV via my PS3.

I was running 13.10 with no issues.

I updated to 14.2 but found that the sort order of the folders displayed on the TV was no longer alphabetical. So I uninstalled 14.2 and re-installed 13.10.

I have just updated to 14.3 and get the same result on two computers. The sort order is okay but the picture is very poor quality - it looks like you're looking at the picture through a fine gauze cloth.

There has been some fixes recently in V14.4 (might have been in V14.3) to address problems with the sort order.

In theory nothing should have changed with PS3 transcoding but I recently tracked down a problem with the default transcoding profile after another user had problems with transcoding failing on their TV and they had upgraded from a similar previous version. This might have also affected the PS3.

There could be other reasons for the reduced quality but I will need to see your logs to see if this is the cause (see the red section above)

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I tried the version from the link in your message and the video quality problem had gone away.

I tried the released version of 14.4.0 and the video quality problem was back.

I'll try reinstalling the released 14.4.0 and send you the logs.

The fix is in V14.5.0

The version Subjunk sent you would have been a test version to see if that fixes the problem.

If you cannot get 14.5.0 as it is only available to Patreon at the moment then reinstall the one you were sent.
