No files to view after upgrade to 14.10.1

After upgrading to 14.10.1, when browsing folders from my TV/renderer (Sony Bravia KDL-46Z5500) files are no longer appearing - just empty folders. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and going back to a few older releases.

If I look inside the Transcode folder I see the file names, but I get "there are no items to display" when I select them.

Debug file attached. I'm not convinced I did that correctly - I followed "how to ask for support" and it generated a file with ".zip_" as the extension. The attachments function wouldn't accept this so I zipped that file.

UMS still works just fine when browsing from my Windows 10 PC in Chrome.

The empty transcode folder was a bug that happened in 14.10.1, this has been fixed in the next one.
If you need to use this folder then I suggest reinstalling the previous version or wait till the next is public.

I had noticed the "_" in the filename of the logs for a while but it was not till a Mac user mentioned that it was saving quotes in the filename and unable to open it that I realised that windows was replacing them with _ as this is a restricted character. Its a minor annoyance that can be easy fixed by renaming the file.
I opened an issue for this on Github and this should also be fixed in the next version.

Are you only sharing that one folder with the one video? from what I can see this should be showing normally on your TV along with the #--TRANSCODE--# folder.
I do see that other folders have been removed when you created this test folder as they are no longer being shared.

It is possible one of your other videos was causing the folder contents to be empty if you don't mean just the transcode folder.
There was a recent bug that would cause this if a video had "cc1" embedded subtitles and this would stop the file list being created.
I think this was also fixed in the next version too.

I tried a fresh install and blew away my config to just share a single folder/file to try and isolate the problem. The config file might mention the previous full sharing config.

I suspect it's the TV or the TV profile rather than a UMS problem, given that the browser can see and play videos just fine. But I'm not aware of any changes having meen made to the profile. It's weird.

If the TV see that video and can play it outside the transcode folder, but when playing inside the transcoding folder the contents is empty then this is the bug in UMS.
I suggest going back to 14.9.0 or waiting for 14.11.0 to become public. You can get all versions from here, just expand the assets section on the version you want to get the files.

The cause was a change to make the browsing speed faster but as the transcode folder is special and does not exist it broke how it works so this change has now been reverted.

If other folders were affected then this could be another problem and would be best to see logs while all your videos are shared so I can see which one is causing it.
The 2 main culprits that I discovered were the cc1 subtitles and if sharing a Youtube channel by the handle instead of the RSS feed.

Same problem with a fresh install of 14.9.0 unfortunately. Browsing a folder e.g Peep Show gives the spinny wheel for some time, but no files appear. The subfolder "Featurettes" does, as does the Transcode folder.
Logs attached fwiw.

I guess I'll wait and see what 14.11 brings. And I should look at Patreon after all these years of leeching the app.
