[Solved] Weird folder listing

Post by vdu »

I've been using PS3 media server for quite some time, but I was really curios to test the "Live subtitles" of UMS so I gave it a try, and wow it works :)
Nice work, but I have a strange problem with the content of folders, that made me went back to PMS for now at least.
I'm using UMS on Win7 64bit. I use a PS3 to play video.
When I try to browse the folders via UMS, if I open Folder1 and then go back to root and then open Folder2 for a moment I can see the content of Folder1 instead of folder2. And if get back to root and then change to folder3 (which has no video, only a lot of others folders) I can see the video of folder1 and folder2..
It's quite a mess actually.. Even the sorting is all messed up. If I have a listing that goes like Season1, season2 etc etc, they are all in the wrong order..
I tried resetting the cache, remove the share and adding it back, running UMS with or without cache, change the sorting.. no difference whatsoever..
Am I doing something wrong?
I can't see any error in the log..

I've seen that bug before on the PS3 if it has been on for a long time, but that was when I was using PS3 Media Server years ago. Did you try restarting the renderer?

No I didn't try to restart the PS3. I restarted PMS instead of UMS and every folder was showing normally though, without restarting the PS3.
I'll try tonight and let you know (I'm at work right now and I can't test it).

You were right, after restarting the PS3 everything is working fine!
Sorry to bother you for such a thing :)

Thanks a lot!
