Finding renderer and switching between media servers
Hi!
I use a Sharp LC32LE632E TV and originally used Windows Media Player as media server. Upon finding that it does not enable to stream external subtitles, I installed UMS.
The first time I started it, it found the TV as renderer (but the TV didn't seem to recognize it; when selecting "Home Network", it still navigates in WMP Media Library). Closed UMS, reopened... and now the UMP says "no renderers found", even while the TV streams a movie using WMP.
Hence my first question - why?
And second question - how would I go about making the TV use UMS instead of WMP as media server - thus hopefully allowing me to view external subs?
Any advice very much appreciated by this n00b!
EDIT: Managed to find answer to the first problem by reading help... the second one remains an issue.
EDIT 2: Damn, after closing and reopening it is again unable to find the renderer... even though settings for forced networking and port remain there. This helped first time...
EDIT 3: Nvm... although UMS still does not find renderer, the TV now found the UMS. And even subs work. Awesome!
