Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
OK but that still doesn't explain how it play just fine in the Video player section on the Xbox 360 but the music player section doesn't play at all & I looked at the network settings for the Xbox 360 & it said it detected the network automatic & also I really don't understand how to do any of this stuff you said might be the problem & I made into my netgear router settings & the Turn UPnP On has a checkmark in the box beside it
Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
You are probably right that it does not explain anything but I have the feeling we have to explore any possible cause.
In the mean time I searched the PS3 forum for clues and I have found one that you might want to try:

I'm not sure what they exactly mean
, but it will probably make sense if you own an xbox and are familiar with the menu's...

Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
i did look at that but i had the same problem with that program with the music & i had other problems with that program & nobody would help find out what was causing the problems i had so i had to quit using that program & none of that really gave an answer to the problem with the music other then getting the newest version of the program for the PS3 media server well i got that but can't use it because on the PS3 it kept saying almost every video was corrupted & could not play them & on the Samsung TV it was not showing up all media that would be in a certain folder & one more thing the Windows Media Player Streaming though the Xbox plays the music just fine
Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
I think we have a bit of a miscommunication.
I did not intend for you to be using PMS. I only saw that thread on the PMS forum, because it seems that they did something on the xbox.
This is that quote:
Have you tried enabling the Media Library and then performing the full folder scan (magnifying glass button)?

Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
i don't know how to do this: Have you tried enabling the Media Library and then performing the full folder scan (magnifying glass button)? & how do you do that using Windows 8 & I looked all over the Xbox 360 menus & I didn't see that at all & I can't ask anybody on the PS3 media server forums because for some reason they get made if you post on another post saying you are having the same problem or if you want to know how to do something if it is covered in that forum topic
Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
I saw your personal mail and frankly I get a bit clueless as well.cooltwou wrote:i don't know how to do this: Have you tried enabling the Media Library and then performing the full folder scan (magnifying glass button)? & how do you do that using Windows 8 & I looked all over the Xbox 360 menus & I didn't see that at all & I can't ask anybody on the PS3 media server forums because for some reason they get made if you post on another post saying you are having the same problem or if you want to know how to do something if it is covered in that forum topic
Regarding my previous message, I think on second thoughts, that the guys on the PMS forum where not talking about the Xbox settings but more about setting something in Windows 8.
Maybe it is already set in your situation but you might want to check it on your system.
This is what I found googling:

Sorry that it's going from long shot to long shot, but I guess we have to try any possibility...
Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
OK i did all of that & still no music showing up at all
Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
Too bad Windows setting didn't help. Now regarding your remark (in bold) above, can you post the debug.log? Maybe it shows any clues.cooltwou wrote:yes I can stream movies and TV shows though the Xbox 360 with this program & I did the ping in the cmd box & this is what I got:
Pinging 192.168.1.6 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out 4 times it list it & then it says this:
Ping statistics for 192.168.1.6:
Packets: Sent =4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 ( 100% loss),
OK now for some reason the Music is being detected but there is a big problem you can't play any music at all it has on the screen it list the music but you have for every track a circle with a line though it & i checked the properties for the music & it list it as in Type of File: MP3 Formatted Sound (.mp3)
Because if I understand correctly the situation now is that it shows the mp3 files but you can't select them to play in the xbox or is it so that you can select them but it throws an error?
Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
well one time it did show the music & it had an error but yesterday it showed no music at all

Re: Can't get the Pogram to Detect any Renderers
Right now this debug.log is way too big (90Mb) and it does not show any signs of attempting playing mp3 files. I only saw traces of you playing .mp4 files of wrestling...cooltwou wrote:well one time it did show the music & it had an error but yesterday it showed no music at all
Can you please retest once more and upload the new debug.log.
Also this time make sure you only share the c:\\music folder for the time being. That would give us a neat little log file.
