WDTV Plus
WDTV Plus
When playing a .m4v file with a DTSMA audio stream, if I use the default option, it is coming across as an AAC audio. If I go into the transcode folder and use any three of the options (TsMuxer, Mencoder, FFMPEG), I get the correct audio (DTSMA).
I've tried going into the conf file for WDTV and add .m4v to the force streaming, and that does fix the problem. However, I'd like to correct the conf file so that it is 'working as intended'... I've tried adding DTSHD to the acceptable audio formats, but not sure I did it correctly, or if that was the right change.
The log files attached capture:
Playing The Hobbit with default selection
Playing The Hobbit by forcing tsMuxer from transcode folder.
Playing The Hobbit by forcing mencoder from transcode folder.
Playing The Hobbit by forcing ffmpeg from transcode folder.
Thanks in advance!

Re: WDTV Plus
It looks like if I change the renderer order and make FFMPEG the primary, then everything works fine.
Re: WDTV Plus
Except this breaks streaming to the Xbox360. If FFMPEG is primary, then streaming DVD type material spits and stutters. If I flip it back to mencoder first, it will stream anything to the Xbox. arghhh...danielt wrote:It looks like if I change the renderer order and make FFMPEG the primary, then everything works fine.
Is there any way to set default transcoder by renderer?
Re: WDTV Plus
Did some experimenting on the original problem last night. If I use a mkv container with the same video/audio stream, it plays fine using the default settings.danielt wrote:When playing a .m4v file with a DTSMA audio stream, if I use the default option, it is coming across as an AAC audio. It is only receiving the DTS core, though.
If I stream using an mp4 container with the same video/audio stream, I get the full DTSMA 4.5MBit stream if I select ffmpeg in the transcode folder.
