Never been able to play ISO/IMG files on our Samsung 55 8005

Post by wazer »

Hi as soon as we load up via wireless or cable(does not matter) and find an img or iso file it will go directy into the packed iso/img file and you can either select transcode folder or the title file theres no way to play the actually iso/img file its like when you double click on a zip/rar file on your windows machine it goes directly in without being able to play the file directly.

Our Sony 55 hx755 55" TV works perfect with IMG/ISO, our samsung 32" 5505 works perfect with IMG/ISO files.

I added debug files from the UMS, the Samsung 8005 files no troubles playing mkv container files only ISO/IMG that does not work.

So i recently found out that its all Samsung TV's that cannot play ISO/IMG files just by clicking the file can anybody confirm that, we tested 7 different Samsung TV in a local store and all that supported UMS/PS3MS could not play those ISO/IMG files, which funny enough their Sony section could.

On Sony TV you can play the iso/img file directly without it opening inside, but on samsung tv you do not have a chance to play the iso/img it will instead open the file inside when you click on it.

So is this a code error/mistake or what?. I see no other reason to buy Samsung TV's anymore if i cannot play iso/img files as Sony TV can via PS3MS/UMS.
