Connection between UMS and LG 42LA644V lost

Post by Mark R. »

UMS is BRILLIANT! though I've bumped into one anomaly and don't know if it's the renderer in the TV or UMS. Transcoding am mp4 file, runs for about 45 minutes. no other network traffic. then a message on the TV says it's lost connection with UMS. wait a moment or two and then the UMS server pops up again, hit resume and continues. UMS does not stop running so it's not a crash. router log shows no disruption so that's not it. either UMS is sending a byebye or the TV has bad (though the latest) firmware. Work arounds, suggestions, or unabashed pity will all be welcome. Thanks in advance -- mark.

Hi Mark,
Not sure if i'm reading you log's wrong but i'm only seeing the fact the TV itself looks to be stopping the files by itself. Could you reattach some logs with the issue but make sure you set the debug to trace as soon as you get into UMS, if not i only see debug info (you did set the log on trace right at the end but that only sends trace info for the last part, not the start of you logs)

Thanks for A) the focus on the TV stopping the stream and B) guidance on the trace log. I've dinked with the config file for the LG TV and am trying to localize the issue. Will post results or further requests anon. Again, thanks for your guidance -- mark r.
