UMS and WMP
Hello and a happy new year to you.
I have two issues.
- UMS seems to be working fine. I can stream from my computer (W7) to my TV (LG Smart TV) without problem. UMS recognises the TV and even recognises WMP. WMP also recognises UMS, but when I click to browse the folder in WMP, it tells me there are no files present. These files ARE present, as I can browse UMS content on my TV. Running UMS as an administrator doesn't seem to change anything. What am I doing wrong?
- I have quite a lot of files on my music drive, which I share with UMS. I can only see up to letter N when I browse the files on my TV though. I can't access, say, ZZ Top. Is there a limit on the number of files and folders shared via UMS?

Re: UMS and WMP
just to confirm that I observe the same; WMP sees UMS and connects to it, but reports no files on folders (and they are definitely ARE there).
Win 7/32, UMS 3.3.0, build date 2013-12-08, WMP 12.0.7601.17514
debug attached

WMP is extremely picky in file types and codecs, it may be that none of the files you have are acceptable to WMP.rashidm wrote:just to confirm that I observe the same; WMP sees UMS and connects to it, but reports no files on folders (and they are definitely ARE there).

Re: UMS and WMP
nope, i am browsing exactly the same files/folders which I can access directly via OS file system (*:\Music\...).Wolfgan wrote:WMP is extremely picky in file types and codecs, it may be that none of the files you have are acceptable to WMP.
there are lots of mp3's there and none of them are listed when accessing through UMS.
btw, VLC player won't show any files/folders either, when connecting to UMS.
