Sony Blu-ray not recognized as renderer

Hi all,

I'm new to UMS and have been trying hard to set things up, reading a lot on this forum.
I have a Sony BDP-S280 Blu-ray player.
I read in other threads that "any Sony Blu-ray" will work with UMS, but looking at the specs of this particular model, it says: NO DNLA.
I guess that means I'm out of luck, right?

Unfortunately yes, and also true of the Sony BDP-S560 btw. Sony isn't known for its largesse when it comes to features .
