This release improves audio sync, fixes video playback bugs, improves stability and fixes other bugs!

Upgrade Notes:

For all versions below 3.2.0:
If you have enabled FFmpeg's fontconfig or hid the New Media folder, you will need to re-apply those settings.

For all versions below 3.0.0-b1:
It is recommended to delete your UMS.conf file prior to installing this version. Windows users can choose the "clean install" option while installing instead.

So does this mean we can now use ffmpeg to transcode to these better? i'm thinking Chromecast and that h.264 issue we noticed.

I hate to say this, but every release after 3.4.0 doesn't work quite right with my PS3. FF and Rewind used to run somewhat smoothly; 3.4.1 and 3.4.2 jump by minutes backwards and forwards. Copying MPG files produced by mkv2vob no longer show % copied, but copy like .mkv's with no estimate of completion.

Fixed a crash with certain files

I experienced this with 3.4.0 for OS X. Sadly the crash locked up the player.

Watched a film tonight *ahem* Gravity with 3.4.2 - OS X, fluid playback. Great experience on the Panasonic DMP-BDT330.
