If you can post the formats accepted by the TV via DLNA (and a link to the official documentation just for reference) that would help to refine the conf file.

The user preferences may be the issue, maybe try with clean installs, which deletes the user preferences

@Wolfgan
unfortunately panasonic themselves don't seem to have online documentation anymore but i found this site that has specs of it.

http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/home-ent ... ifications

i'm guessing these are the formats you wanted? If they aren't tell me i'm pretty sure i still have the manual laying around somewhere so maybe i can find it in there.
Audio format support MP3, FLAC
Video playback formats AVCHD, DivX HD, MKV, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, MOV, XVID

And @SubJunk

i did a clean install each time i reinstalled a newer version, because i saw it recommended somewhere.

Ok tried it and all my movies were greyed out, said "couldn't play" when i tried. I then put in the option when it's unknown renderer to use the panasonic btt file you put in and still movies were greyed out and not playing. Made a trace log of it to be safe.

your 'green screen' looks more like an HTML handshake problem ?

Thanks already for the help btw, noticed i didn't say that yet so just so you know i really appreciate it :)

ok version 1 allowed me to play AND display subtitles but for some reason it didn't allow me to fastforward so had to wait to get past all the generic crap before i saw anything. Don't know if you can fix the fastforwarding thing? It was possible in the past.

Since fast forwarding didn't work i thought i'd try the second version you posted, wich got me back to the old green screen thingy made a trace log of it anyway in case you want it.

You're very welcome :) Does this one change the fast-forwarding thing?
Also, can you please post logs from our 5.0.0-a1 release after it connects to the player? It will hopefully give us some better information on how to connect to your device in future releases.
