Does the device support DLNA as client? I thought it was just a proprietary protocol embedded in chrome browsers...Kilmer wrote:Anyone tried streaming to the Chromecast using UMS?
The Chromecast is likely going to be a very popular unit...would be awesome to see some development on it as far as streaming from your PC straight to the device.Skylion wrote:According to what I've read, it doesn't support DLNA, but it does have an SDK.

Anyone else want to aid in development?
The Rockchip dongle commented on the video claims to be less than 10 bucks with Miracast and DLNA included... if the device support any of the protocols, anything can be displayed on the TV (included UMS served content). The Chromecast protocol seems to be app dependent...Kilmer wrote:The Chromecast is likely going to be a very popular unit...would be awesome to see some development on it as far as streaming from your PC straight to the device.Skylion wrote:According to what I've read, it doesn't support DLNA, but it does have an SDK.
